About MyFlatzTM

MyFlatz was developed to provide artists (called ‘Cardists’) the opportunity to display their work in collectable trading cards (called Flatz). They are formatted and available both online and in the real world. Cardists submitting their artwork for Flatz can be anyone. however it is likely that those purchasing the Flatz and playing games with them will be kids primarily age 6-13.

Your child's safety and full enjoyment of MyFlatz, as well as the safety and well being for all site visitors, is of the utmost importance to all of us at MyFlatz. We do not accumulate personal information about any person for distribution, sharing, or selling. We only keep an email on file for notifying parents and caregivers of their child's wish to join MyFlatz.com, and to send updates to this email address as requested by members. Of course, anyone who wishes to unsubscribe from MyFlatz communication is free to do so at any time.

MyFlatz's Privacy Policy

MyFlatz fully complies with and seeks to fulfill the mission of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), to prevent direct communication by strangers to our children. To help achieve this goal, we repeatedly encourage all users to keep their personal information private. On MyFlatz.com, kids can participate in activities and download their drawings without disclosing information that would allow direct communication. While we do keep an email address on file. we never share, sell or distribute it to anyone for any reason.

What ls COPPA?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act is a United States federal law that regulates the online collection, use and disclosure of personal information from children under the age of 13. It requires that parents or guardians provide consent before personal information is collected online or is publicly disclosed online, from or by children under 13 years old. The law also sets out the acceptable ways of determining consent and providing transparency online.

How Does MyFlatz Comply?

Given MyFlatz's policies to never disclose. and to remove personally identifiable information on MyFlatz.com. COPPA does not require verifiable parental consent Our approach to gaining parental consent via email satisfies COPPA guidelines. MyFlatz reaches out to parents and caregivers to engage adults in leaming about MyFlatz.com. We send emails to parents and caregivers to let them know of their child's interest in MyFlatz and to give a little information about us and our site. We ask parents and caregivers to review our policies before their child can participate on MyFlatz.com. We are committed to doing all we can to foster the safest online experience possible, and welcome the input from parents, caregivers, educators and adults.

Submissions to MyFlatz.com

All drawings submitted to MyFlatz.com will offer the opportunity to profile the artist (termed 'cardist') and to provide personal information. It is up to the parent or caregiver to monitor the submission by minors and determine the appropriateness of such content. Every Flatz is monitored by our moderators and subject to approval.
